- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella
- 4 oz pepperoni
Instructions
- Divide the pizza dough into 4 equal pieces.
- Roll or press each piece into a small pizza shape.
- Spread pizza sauce over half of each dough round, leaving the edges clean.
- Add a layer of mozzarella, then pepperoni, then a little more mozzarella.
- Fold the clean side of the dough over the filling to make a half-circle.
- Crimp the edges with your fingers or a fork to seal well.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil.
- Place the calzones in the basket in batches, leaving space between them.
- Air fry at 375°F for 7 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
- Serve warm with extra pizza sauce if desired.
Notes
- Do not overfill the calzones or they may burst while cooking.
- Seal the edges well to keep the cheese and sauce inside.
- Cook in batches for the best crisp texture.
