Topping

  • 1 1/3 cups crispy fried onions (French’s; divided)


Instructions

  1. Prep the green beans: thaw frozen, blanch fresh, or drain canned. Preheat oven or air fryer to 350°F.

  2. Whisk soup, milk, and soy sauce until smooth.

  3. Fold in green beans, pepper, and 2/3 cup fried onions.

  4. Transfer mixture to a 9×9 baking dish. Bake 25 minutes (or 10 minutes in air fryer) until bubbling.

  5. Stir gently, top with remaining fried onions, and bake 5 more minutes (or 2 minutes in air fryer) until golden and crispy.

Notes

Fresh green beans give the brightest color and best texture.
