Description
These Cheesy Halloween Breadstick Bones are fun, festive, and frightfully easy to make. Bone-shaped breadsticks loaded with cheesy goodness and served with marinara “blood” make them the ultimate Halloween party appetizer.
Ingredients
-
All-purpose flour, for dusting
-
1 pound pizza dough
-
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
-
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
-
Marinara sauce, for dipping
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 375°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
-
Let pizza dough come to room temperature if refrigerated.
-
Lightly flour your work surface and divide the dough into 10 equal parts.
-
Roll each piece into an 8-inch rope, making ends slightly thicker.
-
Snip each end about 1 inch with kitchen scissors and pull apart to form “bone” tips.
-
Arrange shaped dough on baking sheets, spaced apart.
-
Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with grated Parmesan.
-
Bake for 15 minutes until lightly golden and puffy.
-
Sprinkle mozzarella over each breadstick and return to the oven for 5–7 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
-
Cool slightly and serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
Letting dough warm up before shaping makes it easier to work with.
Snipping each end deep enough is key for the bone look.
Double the recipe for parties—it goes fast!
Use your favorite cheese blends if desired.
Marinara sauce adds a spooky “bloody” flair and flavor boost.
