  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1/2 cup crushed buttery crackers (such as Ritz)

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)

  • Cooking spray or olive oil for greasing


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or olive oil.

  2. In a bowl, mix sour cream, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.

  3. Place chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Spread the sour cream mixture evenly over the tops of the chicken.

  4. In a separate bowl, combine crushed crackers and Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle evenly over the coated chicken breasts.

  5. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.

  6. Remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F and the topping is golden and bubbly.

  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving, if desired.

Notes

For even cooking, pound thick chicken breasts to an even thickness.

You can substitute boneless, skinless chicken thighs for extra juiciness.

For extra crispiness, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end (watch closely).

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
