Description
Cilantro Lime Crema is a creamy, zesty 5-minute sauce made with sour cream, fresh cilantro, garlic, and lime. Perfect for tacos, burrito bowls, enchiladas, grilled chicken, or as a dip. Gluten-free and incredibly easy to make.
Ingredients
⅔ cup (160g) sour cream (or Mexican crema)
½ cup loosely packed fresh cilantro leaves
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
Zest of 1 lime
Juice of 1 lime
Pinch of kosher salt
Instructions
Add sour cream (or Mexican crema), cilantro leaves, garlic, lime zest, lime juice, and salt to a blender.
Blend until completely smooth and creamy.
Taste and adjust salt or lime juice if needed.
Use immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
Alternate Method: Finely chop cilantro and garlic, then whisk all ingredients together until smooth.
Notes
Use fresh lime juice for the brightest flavor.
Greek yogurt can replace sour cream (sauce will be thicker and tangier).
Store leftovers in an airtight container or squeeze bottle in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
If too thick, add 1–2 teaspoons water or extra lime juice to thin.
