Description

Creamy Crock Pot Ranch Chicken is the ultimate comfort food for busy nights! Tender chicken breasts slow-cooked in a savory ranch sauce, finished with sour cream and cheddar for a deliciously creamy, family-friendly meal.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional, for searing)

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

  • Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. (Optional) Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.

  2. In the crockpot, stir together the cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning mix, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until smooth.

  3. Add chicken breasts to the crockpot, coating them with the sauce.

  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 6-7 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours until chicken is cooked through.

  5. Remove chicken and shred with two forks. Return shredded chicken to the crockpot and stir to combine with the sauce.

  6. Stir in sour cream until well blended.

  7. Garnish with shredded cheddar cheese and fresh parsley if desired. Serve over rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes.

Notes

Skip searing if short on time; the chicken will still be delicious!
Adjust ranch seasoning for milder or stronger flavor.
Add extra broth to thin the sauce if it’s too thick.
Leftovers reheat beautifully and make great sandwiches or wraps.
