Crock Pot Angel Chicken

  • Author: Mounia
  • Total Time: 4 hours 15 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Description

This Crock Pot Angel Chicken is creamy, comforting, and effortless. Juicy chicken slow cooks in a velvety garlic cream sauce, then gets served over angel hair pasta for the ultimate cozy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (or thighs for dark meat lovers)

  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz, low sodium preferred)

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup chicken broth (low sodium)

  • 1 packet Good Seasons Dry Italian Salad Dressing Mix (or 2 tsp Italian seasoning)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 12 oz angel hair pasta

  • Fresh parsley and lemon slices (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of oil. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then sear 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from heat.

  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together softened cream cheese, butter, cream of chicken soup, garlic, chicken broth, and Italian dressing mix until smooth.

  3. Spray the inside of a crock pot with nonstick spray. Place the seared chicken inside and pour the creamy sauce mixture over the top.

  4. Cover and cook on low for 3–4 hours, or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. (If short on time, cook on high for 2.5–3 hours.)

  5. About 20 minutes before serving, cook angel hair pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain well.

  6. Serve chicken and sauce over pasta, garnished with parsley and lemon slices if desired.

Notes

Skip the salt at first: Since the soup and seasoning mix add salt, taste at the end and adjust.
Pasta swaps: Penne, fettuccine, or even rice can be used in place of angel hair.
Cream cheese tip: If you forget to soften it, microwave in 10-second bursts until pliable.
Leftovers: Store in the fridge up to 3 days. Add a splash of broth or milk when reheating to keep the sauce creamy.
