Description

This Crock Pot Apple Dump Cake is the ultimate fall dessert—gooey apple pie filling, buttery crumble topping, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream to finish it off. Effortless, cozy, and made right in your slow cooker!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted

  • 2 cans (40 oz total) apple pie filling

  • 1/3 cup chopped pecans (optional)

  • Vanilla ice cream (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine yellow cake mix, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

  2. Stir in melted butter until the mixture becomes crumbly. Set aside.

  3. Grease a 6-quart slow cooker with nonstick spray.

  4. Spread apple pie filling evenly in the bottom of the cooker.

  5. Sprinkle the cake mixture over the top of the apples.

  6. Add chopped pecans if using.

  7. Place two layers of paper towel under the lid to catch condensation.

  8. Cover and cook on HIGH for 3 hours.

  9. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and enjoy!

Notes

Want a different twist? Swap yellow cake mix for spice cake mix.
For extra flavor, drizzle caramel sauce on top before serving.
Use a paper towel under the lid to avoid a soggy topping.
