Description
This Crock Pot Cajun Chicken Pasta is creamy, spicy, and packed with comforting flavor. With tender shredded chicken, penne pasta, and a rich Cajun-spiced cream sauce, it’s the ultimate no-fuss slow cooker dinner perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
2–3 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons butter
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 cup chicken broth
12 oz uncooked penne pasta
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Add chicken breasts, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, butter, heavy cream, and chicken broth to a 6-quart crock pot.
Cover and cook on LOW for 4–6 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, until chicken is fully cooked and tender.
Remove chicken, shred or dice, then return it to the crock pot.
Stir in uncooked penne pasta, making sure it’s coated in the sauce.
Cook on HIGH for 20–30 minutes, stirring once halfway through.
Stir in Parmesan cheese and cover for 5 more minutes to melt.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
Add more Cajun seasoning or a pinch of cayenne if you like extra heat.
If the sauce thickens too much, add a splash of broth or cream.
You can substitute penne with rotini, rigatoni, or fusilli if needed.
Leftovers store well in the fridge for up to 4 days—just reheat with a splash of liquid.
