Description
Crock Pot Chicken and Gravy is pure comfort food—tender chicken slow-cooked in savory, creamy gravy. Perfect over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles for an easy, cozy meal!
Ingredients
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 packets chicken gravy mix (low sodium if preferred)
1 (10.5-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
2 cups water (or low-sodium chicken broth)
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and black pepper, to taste
½ cup sour cream (or plain Greek yogurt or heavy cream)
Optional garnish: sliced green onions
Instructions
Season both sides of the chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
In a slow cooker, whisk together the chicken gravy mix, cream of chicken soup, and water until smooth.
Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the slow cooker, making sure they’re coated in the gravy.
Cover and cook on LOW for 6–8 hours, until the chicken is tender.
Shred or break the chicken into chunks using two forks.
Stir in sour cream until fully combined and the sauce is creamy.
Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles. Garnish with sliced green onions if desired.
Notes
Boneless, skinless chicken thighs or tenderloins work great instead of breasts.
Use low-sodium ingredients to keep the dish from becoming too salty.
Cream of mushroom or celery soup can replace cream of chicken if needed.
Leftovers reheat beautifully and can be frozen for up to 3 months.
Adjust seasonings to your taste—try Cajun, lemon pepper, or blackened seasoning for variety.
