This Crockpot Beef and Broccoli is a takeout favorite made easy at home! Tender beef strips simmer in a savory-sweet soy sauce with fresh broccoli, all served over fluffy rice. Perfect for busy weeknights with minimal prep and maximum flavor.
Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs beef flank steak, sliced thin
3 cups broccoli florets
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup beef broth
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp cornstarch
4 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup water (for cornstarch slurry)
Optional: steamed white or brown rice for serving
Instructions
Add sliced beef, soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, sesame oil, and minced garlic to the crockpot. Stir gently to combine.
Cover and cook on low for 4 hours.
In the last 30 minutes of cooking, whisk together cornstarch and 1/4 cup water. Stir the mixture into the sauce.
Add broccoli florets and cook for an additional 30 minutes, until broccoli is just tender and sauce has thickened.
Serve over rice, garnish with sesame seeds if desired, and enjoy!
Notes
For a spicier kick, add 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes with the sauce ingredients.
Sirloin or skirt steak can be used as a substitute for flank steak—just slice thinly.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
