Description

This Crockpot Chicken Parmesan is a cheesy, saucy, and comforting slow cooker classic. With tender chicken breasts simmered in marinara and topped with gooey mozzarella and Parmesan, it’s the perfect easy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 2 cups marinara sauce

  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in the bottom of your crockpot.

  2. Pour marinara sauce evenly over the chicken.

  3. Sprinkle Italian seasoning on top.

  4. Cover and cook on low for 5 hours (or high for 2 ½–3 hours).

  5. About 15 minutes before serving, top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

  6. Cover again until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  7. Garnish with fresh basil and serve over pasta, zucchini noodles, or garlic bread.

Notes

  • For extra sauce, add 1 more cup of marinara before cooking.

  • If you miss the crispy breading, sprinkle toasted breadcrumbs on top before serving.

  • Leftovers reheat well and can also be shredded into wraps or sandwiches.
