Description
This Crockpot Honey Garlic Chicken is a sweet, savory, and tender slow-cooked meal that’s pure comfort food. With just a few pantry staples — honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger — you’ll have a flavorful dinner that practically cooks itself while you go about your day.
Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
½ cup honey
¼ cup soy sauce
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ground ginger
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Prepare the chicken: Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
Make the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper.
Combine: Pour the mixture evenly over the chicken.
Cook: Cover and cook on low for 3–4 hours, or until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
Optional: For a thicker sauce, remove the chicken and stir in a slurry of 1 teaspoon cornstarch + 2 teaspoons water. Cook on high for 10 minutes, then return the chicken and toss to coat.
Serve: Shred slightly if desired and serve over rice, noodles, or vegetables. Garnish with chopped parsley or sesame seeds if you like.
Notes
For extra tenderness, you can substitute chicken thighs for chicken breasts.
Add red pepper flakes or sriracha for a spicy kick.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
This dish pairs beautifully with Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes or Creamy Smothered Chicken and Rice for a complete meal.
