Description
Garlic Parmesan Roasted Brussels Sprouts are crispy on the outside, tender inside, and coated with savory garlic and melted Parmesan. An easy, cozy side dish perfect for weeknights or holiday tables.
Ingredients
16 oz Brussels sprouts, rinsed and trimmed
3 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
½ teaspoon kosher salt
½ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
3 garlic cloves, minced
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Optional: fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F with the rack in the center.
Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and slice each one in half lengthwise.
Lightly oil a rimmed baking sheet.
Pat the Brussels sprouts dry and place them in a large bowl.
Add olive oil, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, garlic, and Parmesan. Toss until evenly coated.
Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on the baking sheet, cut side down.
Roast for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown and crispy around the edges.
Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with parsley if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
For extra crispiness, avoid overcrowding the pan.
Parchment paper can be used, but direct pan contact gives better caramelization.
Add red pepper flakes for a little heat if desired.
