Description
This Gluten Free Christmas Crack is the ultimate holiday treat—crispy, buttery, chocolatey, and topped with festive crushed candy canes. It comes together in minutes and makes the perfect sweet gift, party dessert, or cozy Christmas snack.
Ingredients
1/2 cup melted butter (plant-based works great)
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
About 20 gluten free table crackers (Schar brand recommended)
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Optional: crushed candy canes
Instructions
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a single layer of gluten free crackers on top.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a small saucepan, heat the melted butter and brown sugar until it begins to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
Immediately pour the hot toffee mixture over the crackers and spread evenly.
Bake for 5 minutes, then remove from the oven.
Sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot toffee; let them soften, then spread the melted chocolate into an even layer.
Add crushed candy canes or your favorite toppings while the chocolate is still warm.
Allow to cool completely, then break into pieces and enjoy!
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature or refrigerate for a firmer crunch.
If the toffee looks thick, that’s normal—it creates the perfect buttery layer.
Feel free to swap the candy cane topping for nuts, sprinkles, or gluten-free holiday decorations.
