Description

A classic Greek Lettuce Salad (Maroulosalata) made with finely chopped romaine, fresh dill, green onions, creamy feta, and a bright lemon olive oil dressing. Fresh, light, and ready in minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 heads romaine lettuce

  • 3 green onions, chopped

  • ½ cup fresh dill, chopped

  • ½ cup feta cheese, crumbled

For the Dressing

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the romaine lettuce. Finely chop and place it in a large bowl.

  2. Add the chopped green onions and fresh dill to the bowl.

  3. Drizzle with olive oil, lemon juice, and sprinkle with salt. Toss well to coat the lettuce evenly.

  4. Gently add the crumbled feta and toss lightly. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use feta cheese sold in brine and crumble it yourself for the best creamy texture.

Make sure the lettuce is completely dry so the dressing clings properly.

Toss gently after adding feta to keep it from breaking down too much.

Thinly chopping the lettuce helps keep the salad crisp and evenly dressed.
