Description

Sweet, savory, and irresistibly cozy, this Honey Butter Chicken is a quick one-pan dinner made with tender chicken thighs tossed in a glossy honey-butter garlic sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights when you want comfort without the fuss.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into 2-inch pieces

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  • 1 tablespoon flour (or gluten-free 1:1 flour)

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • 3 garlic cloves, thinly sliced

  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil

Honey Butter Sauce

  • ¼ cup honey

  • 4 tablespoons cold unsalted butter

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or tamari

  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

  • 12 tablespoons water (optional, for thinning sauce)

Garnish

  • Finely chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix cornstarch, flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Toss chicken pieces until lightly coated.

  2. Heat avocado oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken in a single layer and cook for about 8 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Remove and set aside.

  3. In the same pan, add sliced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

  4. Lower heat and add butter, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and water if needed. Stir until the sauce is smooth and glossy.

  5. Return chicken to the skillet and toss until fully coated. Simmer 1–2 minutes until sauce thickens.

  6. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Chicken thighs stay juicy, but chicken breasts can be used—just reduce cook time slightly.

For a little heat, add red pepper flakes or a splash of sriracha.

Serve over rice, noodles, or steamed veggies for a complete meal.
