Ingredients
Seasoned Chicken
2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Slow Cooker Sauce
4 tbsp butter, cubed
4 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup chicken broth
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp dried thyme or fresh thyme sprigs
Instructions
Season the chicken breasts evenly with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
Place the chicken in a single layer in the slow cooker.
Add butter cubes, minced garlic, chicken broth, lemon juice, and thyme over the chicken.
Cover and cook on LOW for 3–4 hours or HIGH for 1½–2 hours, until the chicken is tender and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
Slice or shred the chicken and spoon the garlic butter sauce over the top before serving.
Notes
For a slightly sweet twist, add 1 tablespoon honey to the sauce.
