Description

These Maple Chicken and Beef Bacon Sliders are the ultimate balance of sweet, smoky, and savory. Tender chicken breasts are glazed in maple syrup, paired with crispy beef bacon, and tucked into soft slider buns for a cozy bite-sized comfort meal. Perfect for busy weeknights, game days, or holiday gatherings!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced

  • 6 slices beef bacon

  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) pure maple syrup

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • 12 slider buns

  • Fresh arugula or spinach

Optional: Substitute chicken with turkey or use plant-based bacon for a vegetarian-friendly version.

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken:
In a bowl, whisk together maple syrup, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and black pepper. Add chicken slices and marinate for at least 30 minutes in the fridge.

  2. Cook the Beef Bacon:
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook beef bacon until crisp. Remove and place on paper towels. Reserve 1 tbsp of the drippings.

  3. Cook the Chicken:
In the same skillet, add marinated chicken. Cook 5–7 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through (165°F / 74°C). The maple syrup will caramelize beautifully.

  4. Assemble the Sliders:
Toast the slider buns lightly. Layer glazed chicken, crispy bacon, and arugula or spinach. Top with the other bun half.

  5. Serve:
Arrange on a platter and drizzle with a touch of maple syrup before serving warm.

Notes

Make Ahead: Marinate the chicken overnight for deeper flavor.
For a Kick: Add a pinch of cayenne or drizzle of hot honey.
Storage: Store cooked components separately and assemble fresh for best texture.
Sides: Perfect with sweet potato fries, coleslaw, or roasted veggies.
