Description
Nutella Banana Swirl Muffins are soft, moist banana muffins swirled with rich Nutella for an easy breakfast or snack that feels bakery-worthy but comes together fast.
Ingredients
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1/3 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of salt
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup Nutella
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 12-cup muffin tin with liners or lightly grease it.
In a large bowl, mash the bananas until mostly smooth, then stir in the melted butter.
Mix in the baking soda, salt, and sugar until combined.
Add the beaten egg and vanilla extract and stir until smooth.
Gently fold in the flour just until combined, being careful not to overmix.
Spoon half of the batter into the muffin cups. Add about 1 teaspoon of Nutella to the center of each.
Top with the remaining batter and gently swirl the Nutella using a toothpick or knife.
Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and natural sweetness.
Warm the Nutella slightly if it’s too thick to swirl easily.
Store muffins in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
