Description
This Oven-Baked Texas Roadhouse-Style Salmon is smoky, tender, and bursting with bold flavor. Coated in a savory spice rub and finished with fresh lemon, it’s a quick 15-minute dinner that tastes restaurant-quality but is easy enough for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika (or smoked paprika for extra smoky flavor)
½ teaspoon dried oregano
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
¾ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Lemon slices (for serving)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the salmon fillets.
Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top of the fillets.
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through.
Let rest for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon slices.
Notes
For deeper smoky flavor, use smoked paprika.
Adjust cayenne for more or less heat.
Salmon is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 125–130°F for medium or 140°F for fully cooked.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
This seasoning also works beautifully on cod or halibut.
