Description

This Parmesan Crusted Chicken With Creamy Garlic Sauce is crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and finished with a rich, velvety garlic-Parmesan sauce. A cozy, restaurant-quality dinner made easily at home.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken

  • 4 chicken breasts

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Creamy Garlic Sauce

  • 3 tablespoons butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tablespoons flour

  • 2 cups milk or half-and-half

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pound chicken breasts to an even thickness. Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

  2. In one bowl, beat the eggs. In another bowl, combine breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.

  3. Dip each chicken breast into the eggs, then coat in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently.

  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken 4–5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove and keep warm.

  5. In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.

  6. Whisk in the flour to form a paste, then slowly pour in milk while whisking constantly until thickened.

  7. Stir in Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper.

  8. Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top.

  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Use half-and-half for an extra creamy, richer sauce.

If the sauce becomes too thick, add a splash of milk.

Great served over pasta, mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed veggies.

Chicken thighs may be used—just adjust cook time.
