Ingredients

  • 2 medium white onions, peeled and sliced into ¼-inch rings

  • 2 cups shredded Parmesan cheese (freshly grated preferred)

  • 12 tbsp olive oil (optional, for extra browning)

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • Optional: pinch of chili powder or flakes for heat


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Slice onions into ¼-inch rounds, keeping rings intact.

  3. Place 1 tablespoon Parmesan in small circles on the parchment, slightly larger than your onion rings.

  4. Set one onion ring in the center of each cheese circle.

  5. Sprinkle another tablespoon of Parmesan over each ring, pressing lightly to help it stick.
