Ingredients
4 cups water
4 green tea bags
3 sprigs fresh mint (plus more for garnish)
1/4 cup honey (up to 1/2 cup if desired)
2 cups cold water
1–2 cups ice
Instructions
Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan.
Remove from heat and add the green tea bags and 3 sprigs of fresh mint.
Cover and steep for 15–20 minutes. For stronger flavor, steep 30–45 minutes.
Remove tea bags and mint sprigs. Stir in honey while the tea is still warm.
In a large pitcher, add 1–2 cups ice and 2 cups cold water.
Pour in the sweetened tea mixture and stir gently.
Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint.
Notes
Adjust sweetness to taste by adding more honey if desired.
For a floral twist, try jasmine green tea.
Store in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days.
If tea tastes slightly bitter, add a small squeeze of lemon or extra honey.
