Description
Slow Cooker Brownie Pudding is a rich, cozy chocolate dessert with a fudgy brownie base and a warm, pudding-like sauce on top. It’s an easy, hands-off recipe that feels indulgent but requires very little effort—perfect for busy nights or casual entertaining.
Ingredients
1 box brownie mix, about 15 ounces
2 large eggs, or ingredients listed on the box
½ cup vegetable oil
3 tablespoons water
1 box instant chocolate or chocolate fudge pudding mix, 3.4 ounces
2 cups milk
Ice cream or whipped cream for serving, optional
Instructions
Spray a 6 to 7 quart slow cooker generously with nonstick cooking spray.
Prepare the brownie mix using eggs, oil, and water according to the package directions.
Pour the brownie batter evenly into the prepared slow cooker.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and milk until smooth.
Carefully pour the pudding mixture over the brownie batter without stirring.
Cover the slow cooker with a paper towel, then place the lid on top.
Cook on high for 2 to 3 hours, checking around the 2-hour mark.
The edges should look set while the center remains soft and slightly jiggly.
Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
Notes
Do not overcook or the brownie layer may become dry.
The top will stay moist and pudding-like even when fully cooked.
A toothpick test will not work due to the pudding layer.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
