Description

This Slow Cooker Chocolate Cherry Dump Cake is a 3-ingredient, hands-off dessert that’s rich, gooey, and bursting with sweet cherry goodness. Perfect for busy nights, potlucks, or anytime you’re craving a warm chocolatey treat with zero effort!


Ingredients

  • 2 (21-ounce) cans cherry pie filling

  • 1 (15.25-ounce) box chocolate cake mix

  • ¾ cup salted butter, melted ( sticks)


Instructions

  1. Lightly grease the inside of your slow cooker with non-stick spray.

  2. Spread both cans of cherry pie filling evenly across the bottom of the slow cooker.

  3. In a medium bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix and melted butter. Stir until the mixture becomes crumbly.

  4. Sprinkle the cake mix mixture evenly over the cherry filling. Do not stir.

  5. Cover and cook on High for 2½ to 3 hours, until the cake is set and the cherries are bubbling.

  6. Serve warm, optionally topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream!

Notes

You can use sugar-free cherry pie filling if preferred.
For extra richness, try using chocolate fudge cake mix.
Remove the lid for the last 30 minutes if you’d like a crispier top layer.
Great served warm with ice cream or a dollop of whipped topping.
