This Slow Cooker Honey Mustard Chicken is a creamy, sweet-and-savory comfort food classic. Made with tender chicken, Dijon mustard, honey, garlic, and a touch of cream, it practically cooks itself. Perfect for busy weeknights or cozy weekends at home!
Ingredients
1.5 lb chicken breast (or thighs), about 4 pieces
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp paprika
¼ tsp onion powder
½ tsp pepper
½ tsp salt
¼ cup honey
¼ cup Dijon mustard
2 Tbsp butter, melted
2–3 garlic cloves, minced
¼ cup heavy cream
Optional (for thickening):
2 Tbsp cornstarch
4 Tbsp cold water
Instructions
Pat chicken dry with paper towels and season with oregano, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
In a small bowl, whisk together honey, Dijon mustard, garlic, and melted butter.
Place the chicken in the slow cooker and pour the honey mustard mixture over it.
Cover and cook on LOW for 3 hours, or until the internal temp reaches 165°F.
Shred or chunk the chicken once cooked.
Stir in heavy cream during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
Optional: For a thicker sauce, whisk cornstarch and water, stir in, and cook 30 more minutes.
Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, noodles, or veggies, and enjoy!
Notes
Chicken thighs can be used for juicier, more flavorful results.
Double the sauce if serving over lots of rice or potatoes.
Great for meal prep and makes delicious leftovers!
Add baby carrots or potatoes to the slow cooker for a one-pot meal.
