Description
These Steakhouse Burger Sloppy Joes are a bold twist on the classic—juicy beef, tangy steak sauce, melty cheese, and toasted buns come together for a quick, family-approved dinner.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup steak sauce
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 cup beef broth
4 hamburger buns, lightly toasted
Optional: sliced cheese, lettuce, crispy onions for topping
Instructions
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease.
Add onion and garlic, cooking until onion softens and turns translucent.
Stir in steak sauce, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, and brown sugar. Mix well to coat the beef.
Pour in beef broth. Simmer for 8–10 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and flavors to meld.
Toast hamburger buns under the broiler or in a dry skillet.
Assemble by spooning the beef mixture onto buns. Add cheese or toppings if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
Make-ahead: The beef mixture can be made up to 3 days ahead and stored in the fridge.
Freezer-friendly: Freeze filling up to 3 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight and reheat before serving.
Custom toppings: Try cheddar cheese, sautéed mushrooms, or crispy onions for extra steakhouse flair.
