Description
This Texas Roadhouse Butter Chicken Skillet is a quick, one-pan meal with juicy chicken bites simmered in a rich, buttery sauce. Ready in under 30 minutes, it’s perfect for busy weeknights or cozy family dinners.
Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 tablespoon olive oil
¼ cup unsalted butter
2 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
¼ cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
In a small bowl, mix butter, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken breasts and cook 5–6 minutes per side until golden and fully cooked (165°F). Remove and set aside.
Pour chicken broth into the skillet to deglaze, scraping up browned bits. Stir in the butter mixture and let it melt into a smooth sauce.
Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over, and simmer 2–3 minutes.
Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Chicken thighs can be used instead of breasts for extra juiciness.
For a lighter sauce, reduce butter slightly and add a splash of lemon juice at the end.
Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
